August 26th 2010: TRANSPORTDOCUMENT is available as draft

We oftentimes receive inquiries regarding a document from the transportation range. Most concern an electronic copy of a delivery note, an electronic load list and a shipment-order. We decided to provide a draft for these documents. Here cordial thanks go to the company WERU for the support with the production of a first version.

On the basis of the existing openTRANS documents as well as the project experiences of the past we provided a draft for a TRANSPORTATIONDOCUMENT. The document is available to registered users in the download-area. The document is in development stage and is based on the current openTRANS 2.1 version. It is currently no official part of the openTRANS specification.

What is new? For the document only minimum innovations at existing openTRANS elements became necessary and some new elements were added. Further details are in the available documentation and the CHANGE log within the downloadpackage. If you are intereted in this document, we would be pleased about your positive feedback as well as your improvement suggestions and/or problems with the use of the document! The document is further improved and possibly planned for a future openTRANS version.

A note on the registration: The registration on opentrans.org is free and enables you to download all specifications, documentations and example files. The necessary data for registration is very limited and the data is not passed to third parties.
